Hi all I have had this Dell laptop for two years originally on Windows 7 and had a message earlier this year from Microsoft that I was eligible for a free download for Windows 10 which I did about 6 months or so ago.

It has worked perfectly up until Saturday, 17th Dec but when I tried to turn it on last evening it started with the Dell logo as normal but immediately gave me a white message on a black screen as follows Windows failed to start A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. The only disc I have is the one that came with the laptop but perhaps this only applies to Windows7.
